If we believe the experts, consumers may buy a carpet that is not beige or greige in 2017! Pantone, the US corporation that is the ‘global authority’ on such matters, has named green as its colour of the year. A fresh new start perhaps! If they are right, are manufacturers in a position to satisfy this trend? Some, like Kersaint Cobb, Brintons and Brockway are, but others might struggle. Are consumers now looking for a bit of colour on their floors?
Just a note about what I would love to see available from The Carpet Foundation website. Would it be viable for the carpet manufacturers who support the foundation to supply their pictures to the foundation so members have quick and easy access to an interesting and varied collection of images for use in advertising?
